Build Up Boys Interviews with Speed Weed, TV writer, producer, and men’s coach.

In this interview, Speed talks about the crisis of connection between men and how to better bridge divides within the self and between others.

Speed Weed is a TV writer, producer, and men’s coach. He has lived a charmed life. Yale, living overseas in Morocco, Italy, Russia. He worked for the White House, wrote for magazines, and then curated a successful career writing for television. His credits include Law & Order: SVU and Arrow, among others. Then he had an equally charmed awakening (also known as a mid-life crisis), in which he realized that he suffered from a lack of connection to other men. Over the last few years, Speed has enthusiastically thrown himself into men’s embodiment work, leading men’s circles and helping men access their hearts and guts and balls. He still writes for Hollywood (when not on strike) and offers coaching and mentorship in the arenas of embodiment, relationships, creativity, and purpose. He started www.workingdeep.com to spread the message wide: “It’s okay for men to live from their hearts. More than okay — it’s needed.”
