Al Nixon, 58, works for the St. Petersburg water department. He wakes up every morning to watch the sunrise in Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, Florida. He's been doing this for the past eight years and for the past eight years he has been drawing people to him. They sit and feel seen and heard. One woman nicknamed him the "Sunshine Mayor" because he lifts people's spirits and makes them feel like they matter. He shows up for his community and makes a difference emotionally and spiritually. We need more men like Al.
