Interview with Michael Ian Black

Comedian and author Michael Ian Black's book, A Better Man: A (Mostly Serious) Letter to My Son, was supposed to come out this month, thus the interview. His publisher pushed it to September, thinking no one would want to talk about gender right now.

Well, I want to talk about it. Just because we're in lockdown doesn't mean gender pressure magically disappears. As Michael and I discuss, it's deeply ingrained in our culture, deeply ingrained in each one of us. It's our job to examine it and help change it.

Even though MIB doesn't like to hear himself espouse, cringes at earnestness and feels a bit uncomfortable about entering this conversation, I'm so glad he did. He's such a thoughtful, smart, honest and super funny guy. I loved chatting with him and I know you'll love listening to him!
